Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan has stressed the need to secure an inclusive political settlement in Afghanistan.
He was speaking to a high level of current delegation led by the speaker in Islamabad. He said that no other country is more desirous of peace and stability in Afghanistan than Pakistan. The Afghan delegation expressed its desire to further bolster ties between the two countries. The delegation also called an army chief general Kamar Javed Bajwa.
During the meeting general Bajwa said that Pakistan wants broad-based relations with Afghanistan separately. Khan held a telephone conversation with the prime ministers of the UK and Turkey to discuss the latest situation in Afghanistan.
