Floods affect 100,000 people in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, over 100,000 people have been affected by floods in at least 12 districts.

 In a statement the disaster management ministry said that the floods were caused by a surge in upstream water and seasonal moons. In it added torrential rains have also submerged a huge cropland of over 100 villagers in the affected areas.

The report warned the residents of a worsening situation in the Northern and Central districts.
