Pakistan says it cannot be held responsible for the actions of the Taliban following the withdrawal of the U.S and its allies during an interaction with Afghan media.
Prime minister Imran Khan said his government is not a spokesperson for the taliban. Prime minister Imran Khan reiterated that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan. He said it’s up to the afghans to choose between a u.s backed military solution or a political settlement. The prime minister stressed that pakistan cannot monitor the movement of three million Afghan refugees.
He said however Pakistan is trying its best and has completed 90 percent of the border fencing between pakistan and afghanistan. Imran Khan stressed that Afghanistan cannot be controlled from the outside and Pakistan has no favorites there.
