Pakistan has condemned India’s use of tear gas and firing of warning shots on Muslims in peaceful Muharram procession in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
On Tuesday, the foreign office said dozens of Kashmiris have reportedly been detained and journalists have also been subjected to baton charge. It said that India’s restrictions on Maharan processions is a violation of Kashmiri’s fundamental right of religious freedom.
The foreign office said that Indian oppression cannot break the will of cash race in their jaw struggle for right to self-determination. It urged the international community to take notice of brutal suppression of the religious rights and freedoms of the Kashmir people.
