Pakistan’s army chief general Qamar Javed Bajwa said that international support and humanitarian aid is imperative for lasting peace in Afghanistan.
He was addressing a core commander’s conference at the general headquarters that also reviews regional and internal security situations. He said external and internal forces inimical to peace and stability in Pakistan shall be thwarted at all costs. The military’s media said that the forum reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to peace and express solidarity with the Kashmiris braving Indian atrocities.
It also paid glowing tribute to veteran Kashmir leader Sayyed Ali Ghilani was denied a public funeral by Indian authorities. During the meeting the army chief expressed satisfaction over border security measures amid a crisis situation in the region particularly Afghanistan.
