Pakistani nation is remembering military officer Major Raja Aziz Bhatti on his 56th martyrdom anniversary.
Aziz Bhatti was bestowed upon the Nishan-e-Haider for his actions during the battle with India in 1965. On the occasion, Pakistan’s military said party’s heroic feat inspires us to defend the country at all cost. In a tweet the ISPR said Aziz Bhatti successfully repulsed Indian attack on Lahore with his gallant actions hailing from Gujrat.
Aziz Bhatti joined newly formed Pakistan army in 1950. During interpoc war in September 1965, he defended strategic BRB canal bravely for five days until he was hit by an enemy’s shell and martyred.
