Pakistan’s information minister Fawad Chaudhary says it is encouraging that the Taliban are willing to form an inclusive Afghan government.
In an interview he underscored the importance of engaging authorities in Kabul. The minister said Islamabad has suggested the Taliban that a broad base Afghan government is the only way forward. He warned that Afghanistan can become headquarters for terrorist organizations including ISIS. If abandoned favarts and Pakistan is hosting some three and a half million Afghan refugees adding that the country’s economy cannot bear more.
Meanwhile Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States assad majid khan said investment in the Afghan peace is the best way to counter terrorism. In an interview with a German news channel he underlined the need of an inclusive government to ensure long-term stability in Afghanistan.
