Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says peace in Afghanistan will help improve regional trade and connectivity.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi was speaking to iran’s foreign minister hussein ahmed abdul ayan in Tehran. As part of a three-day regional tour the Iranian foreign minister said his country wants to bolster bilateral ties with Pakistan.
Earlier in his meeting with Turkmenistan’s president and foreign minister he reiterated the importance of a stable Afghanistan for the region. The foreign minister had also visited Uzbekistan and Tajikistan where he shared Pakistan’s perspective on the recent developments in Afghanistan.
