An 8.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the coast of Alaska triggered a tsunami watch in Hawaii.
These threats were later revised down after the U.S tsunami warning system deemed. They had passed the U.S geological service said the quake struck at a depth of 46.7 kilometers.
Two other earthquakes with preliminary magnitudes of 6.2 and 5.6 occurred in the same area within a half hour. The pacific tsunami warning center says the potential threat to guam on American samoa is still under investigation.
