Vivo X70 Pro Plus Full Specifications || Vivo X70 Pro Plus vs Mi-11 Ultra Camera Comparison

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus now you might argue that it comes a little too soon with very few additions over the Vivo X60 Pro Plus. But if you happen to care a lot about smartphone photography this one has a lot to offer. the vivo x70 pro plus it feels like a great smartphone camera first and a good flagship smartphone second.

A detailed camera comparison against the Mi-11 Ultra. The biggest improvements on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus are in the camera and the display. It uses an ltpo Amoled display for better control of the 120 Hertz refresh rate and comes with qhd plus resolution that curves sharply along the edges and there is also Vivo’s own V1 chip that helps with low light image processing and memc in games. It’s also powered by the latest snapdragon 888 plus and features lpddr5 ram and ufs 3.1 storage. The satin finish that makes the X70 Pro Plus so comfortable to hold and to use. Now 2021 has already seen some excellent design innovation in the android space and this is one of the best results so far. The X70 Pro Plus is also a lot bigger than before with a 6.78 inch display that’s even bigger than the Oneplus 9 Pro and Vivo has added some meaningful upgrades that were missing previously like an Ip68 rating and fast wireless charging as a result this feels like a more complete flagship than the previous X60 Pro Plus.

Which was beaten by the Oneplus and Samsung flagships particularly on these little things. But how does it perform in daily usage straight off. The ltpo amoled display is pretty good. It is a 10 bit panel with qhd plus resolution and variable refresh rate that basically means while you’ll get superior color output from the panel. You will also end up saving power by only triggering the high refresh rate when you actually need it. However it is not as valuable as the new Iphone 13 Pro. The refresh rate can only cycle between 30 hertz to 120 hertz. It can’t go down to one hertz like the Iphone. It is still better than manually switching the refresh rate to save power. It suffers from discoloration along the edges.

The colour tuning is also slightly bent towards the cooler side and it’s quite reflective. But it is plenty bright with Vivo claiming 500 nits as normal brightness and over 1000 minutes in high brightness mode. The X70 Pro Plus with its satin finish doesn’t attract fingerprints or smudges. So, it will stay new for longer even if you don’t use a case and there is even an ir blaster on top to control your home appliances. It’s much more easy to use and carry around than the bulky Mi-11 Ultra thanks to the slim profile and a manageable camera bump plus. The Mi-11 Ultra looks like this within a few minutes of use while the x70 pro plus remains clean and classy even after a week of using it.

Now let’s look at the camera hardware wise not a lot has changed over the X60 Pro Plus. It is still a quad camera system and has the same 50 megapixel gn1 sensor in the primary camera and a 48 megapixel ultra white camera and both are stabilized by Vivo’s proprietary gimbal system. There is also an 8 megapixel periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and a new 12 megapixel f 1.6 portrait lens. All the lenses on the body are made by zeiss and the German lens maker has also supplied its proprietary bokeh system. These are high transparent glass lenses with zeiss t-star coating which you won’t find in any other smartphone camera except for the X60 Pro and the X70 Pro. The T-star coating helps reduce lens flare when you’re taking a photo with a strong source of light in the frame notice how the sun is much more well defined on the X70 Pro Plus than the Mi 11 Ultra in these shots below the Vivo’s partnership is actually a lot more pervasive than the hasselblad One Plus triumph or even the Leica Huawei type that came before that Zeiss is offering the lenses. Its proprietary bokeh algorithms and even a Zeiss color mode in the X70 Pro Plus and the result is one of the best tuned cameras we will get with a controlled color science that’s neither too saturated nor too muted.

Sample a few shots against the Mi 11 Ultra on the face of it. The photos from the 50 megapixel primary camera of the X70 Pro Plus look great. There is a lot of rich details and it is not overly saturated but the same photo taken from the male 11 ultra is actually a lot more accurate.

The audio performance is noticeably weaker as compared to its spears like the Mi-11 Ultra. This is despite a stereo speaker setup that uses the earpiece as the second speaker. The audio is simply not loud enough to be enjoyed outdoors or in a noisy environment color game is on point at the warm lighting. The camera algorithm didn’t alter the color temperature and captured exactly what eyes saw. The Iphone 10 Pro Max does a good job. The X70 Pro Plus supports 4G carrier aggregation and 9 standalone 5G bands and the call quality was excellent. You also get Wi-fi 6 support. Lastly the battery life the X70 Pro Plus packs a larger 4500 mah battery that now supports fast 55 Watt wireless charging that was missing from the X60 Pro Plus. You can also charge this using the 50 Watt flash charge break. You get in the box and it tops up the battery from 0 to 100 in 40 minutes.

An ltpo display Ip68 water resistance and wireless charging goes a long way in building the X70 Pro Plus as a true flagship almost at par with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. You can experiment a lot with the camera and shoot some fantastic portraits and videos. The performance is also good enough to power. You through whatever app or game you throw at it the battery life could have been a bit longer and the UI a little more useful. But we can’t always get what we want is it a better phone than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. It certainly feels good to hold and use and it feels a lot more premium and the photos and the videos you take on the view X70 Pro Plus feels a little more up naturally tuned than the Mi 11 Ultra. Which tends to over saturate the colors a little bit. But the details are almost at par with each other.

But if we have to choose between the two we would go for the Vivo X70 Pro Plus particularly. Because of all the myriads of feature that it offers and the little things that it manages to accomplish and it certainly is a contender for one of the best Android flagships that has come out this year.
