Leaders of China and Russia have vowed to step up efforts to jointly combat threats of terrorism and drug trafficking in Afghanistan.
President xi jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were discussing the Afghanistan situation over the fawn. They stress the need to bring peace in afghanistan and prevent the spread of instability to adjacent regions. They emphasized that China respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty independence and territorial integrity.
He said that Beijing is pursuing a policy of non-interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs. Earlier Putin had said that he will not let Russian armed forces be drawn into the conflict. He also criticized the U.S and its alliance for leaving Afghanistan and kiosks that has raised potential threats for Russia.
